Understanding Strep Throat

I had a mom reach out to me last year. Her daughter had had strep throat 9 times over the course of the school year. That is 9 rounds of antibiotics, and so many days missed of school for the child, and work for her parents. Mom knew that there was more to the story.

The bacteria that causes strep throat, Group A Streptococcus, can remain dormant in the body, a state that allows it to lie in wait without causing symptoms and potentially lead to a recurrence of the infection if conditions become favorable or antibiotics are insufficient. A tonsillectomy is not always the answer as the bacteria can remain in the body and still infect the throat.
Antibiotics only take away the current infection, instead of clearing the actual virus from the system. That is where homeopathy comes in. Homeopathy is incredible at clearing dormant viruses like strep from the system by bringing the body back into balance, and utilizing the power of the immune system.
We will see an uptick in strep cases during the school months, which would indicate that strep spreads easily from person to person in school type settings, but why does it go around in the summer? The reason being isn't solely due to close proximity, but instead our own immune systems response to the change in season, for example the dryness of fall, or the cold and dampness of winter. Our immune systems shift whenever the weather changes, as our bodies are a direct reflection of what is happening in nature.
Repeated strep infections are an indication that the virus is alive and well in the body, and therefore uplifting it out of the system is ideal for a more balanced health and well being.
